The Therapeutic Products Bill is currently being considered by Parliament, to replace the Medicines Act 1981 and the Dietary Supplements Regulations 1985 with a new law for medicines, medical devices, natural health products and biological products. The Bill proposes a regime to regulate who can make, use, sell, and advertise therapeutic products. The Bill will establish a regulator with functions to set standards, issue licenses, and regulate the manufacture, export and other activities associated with therapeutic products, including a function to engage with Māori.New Paragraph
